I have this goofy tradition... I refuse to believe that Christmas is drawing near until I hear "Do They Know It's Christmas"... but it's conditional. It CANNOT be the "Band Aid 20" (or anyone else for that matter) version; and it MUST be heard "organically" - meaning I hear it on the radio in the car or the mall, or see the video on TV, etc. I can't just play it on the iPod...
However, this year it hasn't managed to make me feel very "Christmassy" at all.
Nothing has.
I shopped a little, have been listening to "Holiday" music on KOST-FM for a week, have given some cash to the Salvation Army bell-ringers, watched stupid Lifetime / ABC Family movies, but nothing's working...
