I've just remembered something that made me feel a *little* Christmassy when I was in Vegas... the Dollar Tree stores are doing a toy drive for kids through the holidays. You can donate a bear/soft toy/anything you want (stuff you can buy there or bring your own) and they'll distribute them at Christmas time. I made a couple of trips, donated a couple dozen holiday friends (look at those faces, could you resist?), and snapped a photo (my mom wanted to see who I was sending to the kiddles).
If you have a Dollar Tree store in your area, check it out and see if they're doing similar programs in your area - I bet they are.
