why am I blogging? oh yeah, 'cos typing's easier than handwriting + very few people will ever have the opportunity to read/comment on what I've written on a notebook in my nightstand. also, "journaling" apparently makes people happier. we'll see...

Zombie comedies are like potato chips...

...you can't watch just one!

OK, so eating a bunch of sugar and watching a hat-trick of flics about the undead doesn't seem like the most productive use of a Sunday, but the dogs and I had fun!

Not gonna rate the three of them, or even compare - they're all unique, and funny in their own way. Roll call:

Shaun Of The Dead - 2004 - Have Hot Fuzz on the way via the internet, can't wait for it, these guys are awesome... and lots of cool cameos/smaler roles.
"Who died and made you fucking king of the zombies?"

Night Of The Comet - 1984 - Cult favorite, but hysterical. Love that one of the heroines is in a cheerleader outfit for 90% of the film.

Samantha: [with mock sincerity] The burden of civilization is upon us...
Danny Mason Kenner aka DMK: Ohhh. [smiling]
Danny Mason Kenner aka DMK: Bitchin', isn't it?

Dead And Deader - 2006 - Dean Cain is a zombie, and John Billingsley's in it too! BTW, there are actually 2 zombie comedies from last year that have this title... not sure what the other one's about, but I believe it's an indie... 'cos this one got such a wide release...
